everything is the beginning of something else

 An initial exploration and research into the ephemeral process of creativity, made in the first year of the Totnes Foundation course in Art and Design, the books catalogued a series of impromptu responses to the visual material in front of me and layered memories of the previous 40 years. 

Looking at my relationship to responsiveness and the move away from responsibility towards an ability to respond; the books punctuated the endless stream of stimuli, allowing me to breathe in the process of creation and the repetitive wrapping of river-worn wood anchored me in the space for listening anew.
